| SYNOPSIS:
Giulio (Alessandro Figurelli), an Italian documentary filmmaker living in Greece for several years, returns home to Italy, to the town of Gorgonzola just outside of Milano, to visit his ex-wife Irene (Emanuela Zocco), who lives in the family home with their 8-year-old daughter, Andrea (Ilaria Andrea Malaraggia). He stays several days only, returning to Athens, where he is employed by Sophie (Jennifer Levy), an Australian TV producer, to film the Greek demonstrations and riots. Sophie is in Athens with David (Wayne Powrie), a news reporter. She is under pressure to produce a good 10-minute segment on the Greek socio-economic crisis. In Athens, Sophie pressures Giulio to come up with good video footage, but Giulio’s mind is elsewhere, he has a revelation. He quits and goes to Italy, wanting to connect with Irene and Andrea once more. Sophie is not satisfied overall, but she picks up the pieces and leaves for Australia. In Italy, things don’t go as hoped for Giulio, and he returns to Athens once more. |
