Bill Mousoulis has had a connection to John Koudounis via the internet the past few years, Mousoulis as a Greek-Australian living in Athens and Koudounis a Greek-Australian living in London.

When Koudounis suggested to Mousoulis that he could score for Wild and Precious, Mousoulis' first thought was "No, I want something punky". But Mousoulis then had a revelation, and realised that what the film indeed needed was Koudounis' beautiful, lyrical compositions.

Koudounis has composed for TV and film, and is growing a profile for himself. Recently he has collaborated with the singer Cindy Gomez.
