2000 - Saloni M goes South

Nevin Hirik

Nevin Hirik completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1993, majoring in painting and textile design, at the Uludag University, Turkey. In that same year, Nevin arrived in Australia.

Since then, Nevin has exhibited her work in group and solo exhibitions on a regular basis. Commissions include the design of the Aids Prevention Poster (1996) and the cover illustration of Contemporary Australian Feminism II.

Nevin was also the subject of a short film documentary, entitled Nevin, an artist, which was entered in the Melbourne Fringe Film Festival 1999. Nevin's works are represented in private collections throughout Australia, Turkey, France, Holland, Germany and Singapore.
