CRITICAL OVERVIEW:   Anna Brownfield's work deals with the issue of male and female gazes, sexuality and sensuality, pushing the boundaries and redefining the depiction of sex and nudity in cinema. Coming from an experimental and art film background, she has progressively moved more and more into narrative film, while retaining a unique and highly arresting style.
