(Tough
Choice is an unpublished book.)
Introduction to Tough Choice The word "abortion" makes us cringe. We all have our own personal reaction to it based upon our own personal opinions, values, morals, experiences and childhood. There are those that support a woman’s right to have an abortion and there are those that believe the "only" choice is to continue with the pregnancy. I can understand both points of view.
Like all the icky women’s issues, abortion is another topic we want to push away and ignore. Who are we to judge another for making a choice based on their own experiences, knowledge, circumstance and age? Any choice a woman makes regarding her body and that of her unborn baby is a tough choice.
Extract from Chapter Nine: Kayla's Story I took my pants off and kneeled on the floor. My womb spat out the embryo. "Oh my God." I screamed. What had I done? The embryo wasn’t like a little clot or a late period, you could see the outline of the little baby in this fluid stuff. My baby was dead, lying on the cold kitchen floor with its evil mother.
