In April, Vanessa had a cameo in Colin Mowbray's mockumentry "The Legend" also featuring Jack Thompson and Bill Hunter. In May she directed and featured in a special and personal documentry called "Seed To The Wind" exploring cancer from a carer's and patients perspective, this doco also features singer/songwriter Anthea Sidiropoulos. More info will be available later in the year.

Vanessa is currently working on the psycho sexy thriller "Crazy In The Night" directed by Jason Turley, starring Frank Howson and Tommy Dysart. Vanessa plays Lisa (the lead) and feels really blessed to be working with such a gifted cast and crew.

The short film "Context" which was shot at the end of 2008 and which is part of the feature "The Dark Psychosis" is premiering at The Loop Bar (meyers place, city) on Saturday the 27th of June at 7.30pm in Melbourne. It will then go on to screen at The 10th Melbourne Underground Film Festival in August, before being viewed internationally. Vanessa plays the lead - newsreader Marylyn Stepford.

Vanessa is off to New York at the end of June to participate
in a three week acting intensive called "The New Actors Worshop" founded by Mike Nichols and taught by respected acting teacher George Morrison (who has taught actors such as Gene Hackman & Dustin Hoffman) This course focuses on impro, movement and acting technique inspired by Stanislavski. Vanessa is excited to finally be heading to New York, New York.

Vanessa also has a new look - a shaved head! But of course is willing to have extensions, wear wigs etc for parts.
